Thomson and Staples Partner in Phone Recycling Program

Staples and Thomson recently announced their partnership to support a new phone recycling program for consumers.

Beginning Oct. 12, customers can bring their home or home office phones to any Staples store for recycling.  The program also allows recyclers to receive a $30 Staples Rewards card when they purchase select models of home and home office telephone systems. The program runs until America Recycles Day, Nov. 15.

“We hope $30 back in Staples Rewards will make things a little easier on consumers’ pocketbooks this season, especially for families and small business owners,” said Tom Bratton, vice president of sales and marketing for Thomson Consumer Network Solutions. “Through our relationship with Staples, consumers can recycle older technology and trade up to a model with better features.”

Phones will be recycled responsibly through certified recyclers, according to Sara Minor, a category merchant for Staples.
