1-800-FLOWERS to Hold Electronics Recycling Event

Floral online retailer 1-800-FLOWERS.COM will be collecting obsolete electronics for free recycling in the parking lot of its Long Island headquarters on October 29, with participants receiving a 15 percent discount to use online or at one of its retail outlets.

This is the second such event in 2008, as the company previously held a recycling drive in June. It will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at One Old Country Road in Carle Place, New York.

You can bring in a computer or monitor, VCR, DVD player, personal electronic organizer or video game console to be recycled by e-Scrap Destruction.
