RadioShack Begins Online Electronics Trade-in Program

RadioShack recently announced a new, online electronics trade-in program. The RadioShack Online Trade-In Program allows customers to exchange used, portable electronics for a RadioShack gift card.  Items accepted include:

  • Car Audio Head Units
  • Digital Cameras and Camcorders
  • Game Consoles and Media
  • GPS Devices
  • MP3 Players
  • Notebook Computers
  • Wireless Phones

Customers can visit the RadioShack Trade-In Program site to ascertain their product’s trade-in value.  If the value is acceptable, customers can mail their electronics (using prepaid shipping labels provided by RadioShack) and will receive a gift card within 10 to 14 days.

“We know that consumers are looking for innovative ways to save money, and we think this program will help them stretch their dollars in time for the holiday shopping season at their neighborhood RadioShack,” said Peter Whitsett, RadioShack’s executive vice president of merchandising.

This works! I just recycled an old non-working creative zen mp3 player at radioshack in philadelphia.
Earth 911 needs to update their site though, if you search for mp3 player in philadelphia, all that comes up is staples, and the staples by me (in center city) does not recycle mp3 players… And tweeter closed down, so radioshack is the only option now.
