Keep America Beautiful & Earth911 Join Forces

STAMFORD, Conn.—Keep America Beautiful, Inc., the nation’s largest community improvement and environmental stewardship organization, announced a strategic partnership with Earth911.com to share resources, editorial content and local recycling information with consumers nationwide.

Through this partnership, Keep America Beautiful will provide access to the extensive Earth911.com national database of local recycling options through its website, provide educational content on Earth911.com and connect its affiliate network activities and recycling programs to the Earth911.com database. In turn, both organizations will seek further opportunities that increase consumer access to recycling programs and help increase the rate of recycling nationwide.

Earth911.com’s recycling search engine allows consumers in the U.S. and Canada to search for over 100,000 locations, programs and events, providing disposal solutions for 170 different products.

“Providing consumers with relevant and timely information about recycling opportunities in their communities is critical to our efforts to reduce waste in America,” said Keep America Beautiful, Inc. President and CEO, Matt McKenna. “Earth911.com has developed a truly comprehensive and user-friendly consumer resource. They will surely be a great partner in our mission.”

Through the daily efforts of over 1000 local affiliates and participating organizations providing grassroots support in communities nationwide, Keep America Beautiful programs beautify public spaces, reduce litter and promote recycling through events, activities and educational programs. Notably, more than one-third of Keep America Beautiful’s affiliates serve as the recycling coordinators for their counties, cities and towns.

“We are excited about this affiliation with Keep America Beautiful because our missions are so closely aligned,” says Earth911.com President Jonathan Smith. “Recycling is a natural tie-in with cleaning up communities, and we look forward to providing these solutions to KAB and its affiliates.”
