New Green Mag Covers ‘Organic Beauty’

Looking for a new beauty magazine to start off ’09 the sustainable way? Sovereign/Homestead is launching Organic Beauty, a bimonthly magazine that will cover everything related to natural, eco-friendly and organic beauty.

The premier issue, “Green and Gorgeous,” hits stands New Year’s Day and will inform women about the green alternative choices in areas such as:

  • Natural and organic skin, hair, nail and oral-care products

    Actress Olivia Wilde

Cover: Actress Olivia Wilde, says it's unnecessary to "sacrifice your health with what you're putting on your body."

  • Organic foods, herbs, supplements, elixirs and fitness strategies
  • Ageless Beauty: natural alternatives to cosmetic surgery and injectables
  • Sustainable beauty, fashion and style trends
  • Beauty bargains
  • News and breakthroughs

Don’t be fooled by the magazine’s green persona – it has some heavy hitters on its editorial staff. Former beauty editor of the New York Times Magazine and editorial director of Elle, Rona Berg, is the editor-in-chief. “Going green is no longer just a trend, it’s a lifestyle,” says Berg. “Organic Beauty will provide a smart, sophisticated resource for women who want to cut through the confusion and find more natural alternatives.”

According to Diane Hintz, publisher of Organic Beauty, the organic and natural personal-care product market recently hit $7 billion in annual sales. “The demand for organic beauty products may be the most important issue to affect the beauty industry in its history,” she said.

It is really cool that a mag can actually help in environment efforts. Kudos to the mag. Let’s see how this mag comes up in the competition. I realize that you are a connoisseur in the organic area. :) You may visit our site for checking out our green topics. I’d appreciate if you can give me some feedback on our site: http://greenbydesign.com. I’d like to hear your opinion/feedback on our green topics.

I enjoyed the premier issue of Organic Beauty and I was under the impression that it was published on a bi monthly basis, however I was unable to find a more recent publication of this magazine in this area..PA.
I went to there web site and found that they are going to publish a 2010 guide coming out in November. I tried several times to e mail customer service regarding a publication that should have been on the news stands this month, however the e mail kept bouncing back. Can you shed some light as to when the next issue will be out? Thank You

I am having the same troubles as you, Maxine. I have been waiting and waiting for the new issue of this magazine to appear on shelves and am concerned because it is well past the February date that is listed on the premier issue cover. I have also e-mailed this company on their website with no reply yet. Hopefully, we will all hear some news about the next issue release date (before November, maybe?)

    Thanks!
