Hi Libuse, I have to say, thank you for exploring these options. Recycled materials don't get enough attention. I actually just discovered recycled wood flooring that is composed of the strips of lumber that mills across the world discard. This company, Staybull flooring takes those strips, uses solvent and VOC free adhesives and finishes to create really sexy looking floors. I know that sounds odd, but I love modern architecture and design, so when I was researching reclaimed materials, my heart jumped when I saw this product. I am waiting to get my samples in the mail (Brazilian Teak, and Cherry) and was hoping you had a chance to add this to your list of recycled flooring options.

I enjoyed this article! I am really like the reclaimed wood options.

Just started reading this site this am. Recently, I helped my son pick a green article for current events project in his 3rd grade class. During this process, I started thinking about my own lifestyle, choices and what steps I could take to live a more eco-friendly existence.

This new sense of awareness led me to start a blog a couple of weeks ago. The goal is to share some simple tips to help busy people live greener. I am learning a lot and trying to make some changes.
