Help Develop Earth911.com Mobile!

Picture it: You’re running errands, have a whole trunk full of electronics to recycle, and you forgot to check for a recycling location before you left the house. Another wasted opportunity to cross one more thing off your to-do list?

My ideal mobile recycling info tells me:

It doesn’t have to be! Earth911.com wants to help you solve this problem by always having recycling info right  in the palm of your hand. That’s right, we’re in the midst of developing Earth911.com Mobile.

Before we get too far along in the process, we want to ask the people who will be using it (that’s you) what they really want in a mobile recycling application. We already have some ideas, but we need your help to narrow it down a bit and make sure to include all the right stuff. So…what do you want?

You may be saying, “I don’t know what I want, there are so many options!” Well, we thought you might say that, so we did some brainstorming to help get the ball rolling. For instance:

  1. Do you just need a location’s phone number, or do hours of operation help more?
  2. Do you care what others in your community are doing, or do you just want to know if the item in your hand can be recycled?
  3. Do you want to have green tips that you can apply to your daily life, or just an address and map to get started?

Feeling inspired? Ok, now it’s time to let us know what you have in mind. The next part’s easy, just:

  • Check out the poll to the right
  • Pick up to four of your favorites for your dream mobile app
  • Hit “vote,” and we’ll take it from there

Thanks for taking the time to help us develop Earth911.com Mobile. We really do appreciate your feedback. And don’t worry, we’ll keep you posted as we move forward!
