Very true, it is important for all of us to understand and explore the right right path to a greener lifestyle. And becoming more aware of a product’s lifecycle is the perfect path towards green initiative.with no larger expense attached one can think about saving mother nature.

I like the idea that DC should be a model for sustainability, but disagree with the notion that it’s a “far cry” from D.C.’s current state. As a former District resident, I was always amazed that there seemed to be a garbage can on every street corner in D.C. The city now has recycling bins downtown (http://earth911.com/blog/2008/08/19/dc-provides-recycling-bins-on-streets/) and at the baseball stadium (http://earth911.com/blog/2009/05/06/dc-baseball-stadium-installs-fan-cans-for-recycling/). Plus, it’s got the cleanest subway system in America since people aren’t allowed to eat or drink on the trains.
