There's really no reason to not recycle when Earth911 makes it so easy. Besides recycling, it's nice there are listings where people can donate books, CDs and DVDs, like Goodwill and Value Village. At Eco Encore, donated media help the environment in two ways--it diverts paper and plastic from local landfills which are already made up of about a third paper and plastic, and the proceeds from Eco Encore sales are distributed to Pacific Northwest environmental organizations. Still, wherever used books and discs end up is better than the trash--there's plenty there already.

I like the comment feature because it gives other users a heads up about pros or cons of a recycling location. I want to know if the people are nice and whether they accept everything listed.
