We make styrofoam products that biodegrade at no great extra cost. We can do this with all of the plastics used in disposable products. Unlike corn based plastics, our products don't worsen the third world hunger problem. Essentially, the advocates of PLA (corn plastic,) ask that we ignore the world hunger problem, throw away a portion of the petroleum and natural gas that is a byproduct of refining fuel, and pay a great deal more for an inferior plastic. PLA only makes sense if you don't understand its ramifications. See http://biogreenproducts.biz .
