We, at A&B recycling are eager to partner with anyone involving a mailback program. We are also willing to work personally with the Lexington,Kentucky community for drop offs. Our web site will explain everything in detail for those of you interested. There may be suggestions people have like, "don't use EPS", but that does not make it go away and neither do landfills. Think about it today, and save tomorrow. That should be our priority at the moment, and it takes everyone. Please consider helping us. After all, we ARE responsible for what we do.Visit our web site and find out today how you can help. You may have a few boxes or a few semi loads. The point is, get involved and help out wherever you are....today.

i would have to say its a great idea to recycle how ever when it comes to recycleing people have all kinds of plastic and no one wants it. look how people have strollers and other things it breaks down and no one wants it and you have to pay to throw it away not everybody has the money for this stuff. if they would learn to come up witha place to recycle it and your able to drop the items off like they do for plastic bottles and cans and so on that would be fantastic. every one talks about saveing the landfill but no one has the answers about other stuff that should be recycled cause its pretty annoying seein the stuff on tv about plastic bottles and so on and cant do nothing about it because no one will recycle other stuff. heres and idea they should smack the guy who came up with makeing everything plastic its said to see a car you drive now days and all the parts in that are plastic what ever happen to metal products? atleast metal would last many many yrs no everything is junk there you go theres my advice have a great day

Simply stop producing these products. There are companies that make biodegradeable earth healthy similar items mentioned on Earth911 that do the same function.

Why is it so difficult to take it out of the the stream?

We can recycle styrofoam in Macon, GA at all Publix stores. I take meat containers, foam from packaging, foam cups and carry out boxes. It's too bad our curbside pickup doesn't accept anything except 1s and 2s.

Hi Amanda,
My name is Laura Rodriguez, and I started the program which you mentioned above, so what a cool surprise to find our school mentioned as I was researching on the topic of polystyrene recycling.

This year we plan to cut out another 20% to 30% of our waste through education and planning schoolwide.

I just became a user at 911 last night, and I am learning a lot already.
