A Replacement For Incandescents?

The U.S. Department of Energy is offering $10 million to whoever discovers the first energy-efficient alternatives for outdated incandescent and halogen lights. The Bright Tomorrow Lighting Prize, dubbed the "L Prize," has a goal of reducing lighting energy usage in the country by one-third.
