I found this article to be very interesting. I had received a biodegradable cup at a concert and when I got home I was excited to put it into my compost. Well, here I am still waiting for it to break down nearly three months later. I wish I had come along your article sooner..

Trying to find places to take and recycle prescription bottles and vitamin supplement bottles. These really add up and I have run out of uses and space. Would love to recycle. Live in central Arkansas. Any suggestions?

Good job. I've been working on recycling lately and you would be amazed how many people are fighting even getting the word out. I find this amazing and disturbing. I am part of a community association and the residents have complained about trash. It seems that our city has come up with free programs and even has a website. Problem I can't get ANY cooperation from the members of our board of directors. Since it is FREE and other then putting out a mailer to the 108 home units they have to do nothing. Even the mailer is simply something they can instruct our management company to do. It is sickening to me that 7 or so on a board of directors refuses to do anything unless there is money in it for them. This should be a no brainer, they won't even allow a news letter or on line letter, as they say it could lead to a lawsuit. Instead of finding ways to help my city and providing links to sites such as yours if I want something done I'd have to go to war with the board of directors? This is nonsense I did that once before and they tried to insight violence against me and my family, by making up lies that I was going to cost the community a fortune. I'm not well and can't take getting stressed out our beaten up for pointing out a recycling program, any ideas?
