It’s the biggest electronics trade show in the world. Period. Walking through the miles of exhibitors on the Consumer Electronics Show floors, you’ll see thousands of gadgets and be the first to witness the launch of at least 20,000 new products (seriously).

But while electronics manufacturers use CES to display their latest innovations side-by-side, they’re also competing in a new arena: green technology.

This year, we surveyed the top five global exhibitors to find out exactly what they were contributing the the improvement of smarter, more efficient and less resource-intensive tech.

In the following report, we touch on three main factors: corporate social responsibility (CSR), availability of electronics recycling and newly released green products.
