9. Clean that dirty stove top

We all splash a little sauce on the stove top while cooking. But before you break out the harsh household cleaners, see if some spent citrus scraps can do the same job.
Halved oranges or lemons that were used for juice are perfect for cleaning common kitchen messes – like food-soiled stove tops, microwaves and cutting boards. Sprinkle some salt onto your citrus scraps for added abrasion, and use them to directly scrub the spatter off your stove top.
If you don’t have any halved fruits in your scrap bin, combine all your citrus scraps with some salt and a few teaspoons of white vinegar. Give the mixture a few pulses in a blender to make a paste. Rub onto your stove top using a scouring pad and watch greasy messes disappear.
