What exactly is a Dirt Bag? For South 5th founder Erika Kessel, it’s not an insult – it’s literally a bag of dirt. Also called “Seed Bombs,” these bags are made with organic dirt and compost to attract pollinators such as bees, butterflies and even birds.
South 5th was created in an apartment on South 5th street in Williamsburg Brooklyn and has a shop on Etsy.
