2. Pocket magnets for the fridge

Need places to keep pens, notepads or coupons in the kitchen? AllFreeCrafts.com suggests this cute organization solution: Simply cut out the back pocket from some old jeans, attach a magnet with a hot glue gun and stick the pocket on the fridge.

3. Dog toy

Make a sturdy toy for your four-legged best friend using an old pair of jeans, with this Instructablestutorial. Cut off the lower part of one of the pant legs and then cut one of its sides lengthwise. Fold the denim several times, make a loop and knot it, and your dog will have a new plaything to fetch and munch on.

    I restore (reuse) old VWs. I make emergency tool kits from the legs of jeans by sewing the bottom closed and putting a drawstring at the top. Durable and easy to pack with tools and spare parts!

    I'm in the process of making a quilt for my son's bed from jeans. Squares are cut from jeans and put together into a quilt.

    I have "re-caned" rocking chairs, etc with strips of well washed denim as well as other tightly woven cotton fabrics...even prints. I must admit, they are charmers and sooooooo comfortable.

    You can also incorporate the jean pockets into the quilt. Also old Tshirts that you can/t depart with can also be used for making a quilt.

    Making purses from old jeans was really popular in the 70's. It's good to hear these ideas comming back. It was also common to patch your jeans instead of buying new jeans. Another use for old jeans.

    I love these ideas! I make coasters from old tees and old towels but have not tried jean coasters yet. I will. :) I have made gadget cases from old jeans before. Recycling FTW! <3
