If you’ve admired those fashionable designs on Sigg’s line of reusable water bottles, now is your chance to have your very own artwork featured on the Swiss company’s next aluminum bottle.
Update: Contest is now closed. See the winning designs here.
Sigg fans and artists worldwide are invited to submit their most creative and imaginative design by March 28 for the opportunity to have it reproduced on a limited edition bottle and inducted into Sigg’s 2012 collection, the company announced this week.
Sigg and sustainability expert Sarah Backhouse will select a winning design in the three bottle size categories – 0.4 liters, 0.6 liters and 1 liter – and announce them April 18, just in time for Earth Day.
Winners will receive a $1,000 cash prize, a feature on Sigg’s website and social media channels, a portion of sales from all bottles sold and 100 bottles of the winning design. Three runners-up will be awarded a feature on Sigg’s social media channels and $500 each.
Members of the public can also vote for their favorite design until April 4; their top pick will receive the People’s Choice award and a $500 prize.
Sigg’s design contest is hosted by Talenthouse, a social networking site that gives everyday people the opportunity to participate in creative projects with major brands and artists.
