1. Pliers
Whether you’re working with metal or taking on a jewelry project, a pair of pliers is key. Pliers are perfect for bending wires or grasping small things. A pair of chain- nose or round nose pliers will do the trick, but If you can find a tool with multiple functions in one, that’s even better.

2. Wire
Wire comes in a variety of sizes and colors. Starting out, you will want to have some around that is thin and fairly flexible. Floral wire is a great starter because it’s inexpensive and can be used for a wide variety of projects including jewelry crafts.
3. Ruler/Tape Measure
Whether you’re altering clothes or making sure a picture frame will fit, having a measurement tool handy is important. A ruler will be most useful for paper and craft projects while a measuring tape might be a wiser choice for projects of a slightly larger scale.
