Catalogs
Since 1872, when Aaron Montgomery Ward mass-mailed the first mail-order catalog for his company, Montgomery Ward, catalogs have been delivered to our mailboxes. From home décor to major department stores, 19 billion catalogs are mailed to American consumers each year.
Similar to magazines, catalogs are a collection of paper pages that usually describe products or services that a company provides. Often used to order products by mail, catalogs serve as eye candy to entice consumers to make purchases.
