Catalogs
From home decor to major department stores, catalogs have been coming in the mail since 1872 when Aaron Montgomery Ward mass-mailed the first mail-order catalog for his company, Montgomery Ward. In fact, each year 19 billion catalogs are mailed to American consumers.
Similar to magazines, catalogs are a collection of paper pages that usually describe products or services that a company provides. Often used to order products by mail, catalogs serve as eye candy to entice consumers to make purchases.
