Facts About MP3 Players
MP3 players have become a widespread craze in the last decade.
One of the most popular forms of MP3 players is the iPod created by Apple. Since its launch in 2001, Apple has sold more than 100 million iPods including the Touch, Nano, Shuffle, Mini, Photo, Video and the original iPod.
Every year, companies come out with newer and better MP3 players, causing the amount of e-waste to grow. This is an important consideration, as MP3 players often contain many toxic substances such as lead, cadmium and mercury.
Although companies are working to reduce the amount of toxic materials used in their products, it’s extremely important that the millions of digital music players that have become obsolete over time do not end up in landfills.
