Verizon to End Auto White Pages Delivery in Calif.
Just weeks after San Francisco passed a law prohibiting the delivery of Yellow Pages unless ordered by a customer, the California state government approved Verizon’s request to end automatic delivery of printed white pages statewide.
Verizon will provide an online, electronic version of its residential white pages listings as the primary means to access the directory, but customers can also request a CD-ROM version or the traditional printed copy of the white pages.
The company will continue to print and distribute the business and government white pages and Yellow Pages.
