Number 6 Plastic Polystyrene
This common plastic is known as Expanded Polystyrene Foam (EPS). Because it is often used in packaging to help insulate and keep delicate things from becoming damaged during transport, everybody deals with polystyrene at some point. Though polystyrene is hard to recycle, other #6 products can be simple to recycle. These products include plastic cups, CD and DVD cases.
