HP Helping Customers Print Green

Alleghany County Hosts “Hard to Recycle” Events

The Pennsylvania Resource Council has announced its 2008 Hard to Recycle event schedule, which allows the opportunity for Alleghany County residents to recycle products not collected in curbside programs such as electronics. HP Recycles Nearly 250 Million Pounds in 2007

Hewlett Packard has released its yearly summary of the company's recycling progress, and in 2007 HP recycled 50 percent more volume of products than in 2006. HP reports that it has recycled over one billion pounds of technology equipment since 1987, with a goal of two billion pounds recycled by the end of 2010. HP Finds New Way to Recycle Old Plastic

The Corvallis Gazette Times reports that Hewlett-Packard is using recycled plastic to make up a majority of the material in its inkjet cartridges, already resulting in 200 million recycled content cartridges. Students Collect, Recycle Printer Cartridges

Boston's WCVB features the recycling efforts of Luce Elementary School in Canton, which has been recycling ink jet cartridges for more than a year to raise money and help the environment.
