Jeff Woodfield

Director of National Media

Jeff Woodfield leads Earth911′s national media sales and strategic partnerships. In this role, Jeff works with Fortune 500 customers and PR and ad agencies to leverage Earth911′s technology and editorial content to drive sustainability messaging through targeted advertising, sponsorships, original content and social media.

He brings a long history of enthusiasm and passion for marketing to Earth911. Jeff has more than a decade of experience in business development and establishing strategic partnerships to help identify areas that can drive additional value and results. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University.

Nate Lipka

Managing Editor

Nate manages Earth911′s editorial department by editing, writing and working with the company’s stable of talented writers to generate fresh, original, earth-friendly content.

A native Arizonan, Nate graduated from Arizona State University’s Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and has lived in-state his whole life.

Now he lives in Tempe, leads a vegan lifestyle, makes a concerted effort to support locally-owned businesses and is hard at work sustainably renovating his first home, one project at a time.

Jennifer Berry

Sr. Public Relations Manager
Social Media Editor

Jennifer manages the public relations arm and social media work for Earth911.com. Joining the team in 2008, she utilizes her love for writing and communications in a number of facets to support the company’s growth and reach into new arenas.

Jennifer also enjoys an active, green lifestyle outside of work, including swimming, cycling, hiking and being vegan. After completing a double-major in Psychology and Public Relations from Baylor University, Jennifer continues to explore the relationship between people and the environment, both at work and home.

Leah Blunt

Fulfillment Editor

Leah graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University with an emphasis in Public Relations and Strategic Media. Before joining Earth911 as the Fulfillment Editor, she contributed articles to the site as a freelance writer.

Through Earth911, Leah enjoys getting to explore the environmental news industry as well nurture and develop partnerships within the recycling community for a united cause.

Alexis Petru

Alexis is a California native: Born and raised in Southern California, she is now proud to call the San Francisco Bay Area home. Alexis has always been passionate about sustainability, and before joining Earth911, she coordinated environmental programs for various Bay Area cities and counties for seven years. She has a degree in cultural anthropology from UC Berkeley.

In her spare time, Alexis keeps busy working on green home improvement projects, cooking locally and seasonally, and just generally enjoying all there is to do in the beautiful Bay Area.

Mary Mazzoni

Staff Writer, Philadelphia
Mary was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania, where she first discovered her love for the great outdoors. Now based out of Philadelphia, she continues to pursue her passion for writing and the environment.

Mary has a degree in journalism from Temple University and has written for local publications including The Philadelphia Daily News, The Fishtown Star and Philadelphia Magazine’s “Philly Post.”

Mary is a lifelong vegetarian and enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, biking and relaxing in the park. When she’s not outside, she’s probably watching baseball.
