Can inflatable mattresses with built in electrical components be disposed of sustainably or is landfill the only option? It has a hole and cannot be donated. I live in Texas. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for asking. If you air mattress is made of PVC -- the same material as plastic pipes -- it is difficult to recycle. Also, if the mattress is a compound material, a combination of plastic and textiles, for example, it is difficult to recycle. Here is our guide: https://earth911.com/living-well-being/air-mattress-recycle-or-reuse/

The motor is recyclable as a "small electronics" item. You can search for local options using the materials "PVC" and "small electronics" at https://search.earth911.com
