As people continue to transition from CDs and DVDs to MP3s and other formats, many have unwanted electronic media. Unfortunately, these items can be difficult to recycle. CDs contain #7 plastic, while the cases consist of #6 plastic. The casing on cassettes is #5 plastic while the tape itself is #1. When possible, donate these items or else find a drop-off or mail-in recycling program.
