'Save the Earth' With Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Bill Clinton

You can help save the planet by contributing to the second annual Bid to Save Earth auction.

Want to meet Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber? How about indulging in a Vanity Fair Oscars after-party package, spending the day with President Bill Clinton or taking a 10-day trip to Tanzania? You can do all of these things – for the right price.

Yesterday kicked off the second annual Christie’s Green Auction: Bid to Save the Earth, a charity auction featuring some posh prizes and feel-good results.

All proceeds will benefit some important environmental nonprofits: Oceana, Natural Resources Defense Council, Conservation International and Central Park Conservancy.

Last year’s auction raised $2 million.

Each prize is experienced-based instead of material-based, and it allows for bidders from all over the world. All you need to enter is a valid credit card and the right amount of moola, of course.

“Personally, if I had the money, I would probably bid for the Suzanne Rae Fashion Show package. Who wouldn’t want a custom-made dress?,” said Courtney Hamilton from NRDC. In the spirit of keeping it green, she added, “And of course it would be pretty easy to take the subway to the event since I live in NYC.”

If you don’t feel like forking of thousands of dollars, you can donate $10 by texting “gogreen” to 20222, or find more information on ways to help at the Bid to Save Earth website.
