CD Necklace by Pop Culture Princess

Old CDs can be another difficult-to-recycle material. It turns out they’re a great item for upcycling, though. J. Russell of Etsy shop Pop Culture Princess takes two ordinary CDs, layers them and fuses them together to make one-of-a-kind pendants like this one.

Russell seeks to “save stuff from landfills – one handcrafted piece at a time” and she does so by using materials like CDs, DVDs, vintage beads, broken jewelry, and textiles in her mod jewelry. You’ll even find rings made from champagne corks in her shop.

Price: $14
