Electronic waste, or e-waste, is generally considered anything that plugs into a wall or accepts batteries. E-waste has surfaced as an important issue, because it can be dangerous if disposed of improperly. Many major retailers have instituted take-back programs and municipalities have created drop-off locations to help quell e-waste issues.


  • NBA All-Star Game Goes Green

    The NBA is teaming up with Sprint, Keep Orlando Beautiful and the Natural Resources Defense Council to make sure the 2012 All-Star Game is their most sustainable event to date.

    Sprint and the NBA will partner with the city of Orlando, Keep Orlando Beautiful and Creative Recycling to host the NBA All-Star E-Recycling Day at Orlando Festival Park on Saturday, Feb. 18.
