If you’re looking to bring a little bit of the outdoors into your home but don’t have the room to do so, a miniature tabletop garden might be just what you need. Decorative terrariums are just as cute as they are easy to maintain, so it won’t matter if you were born with a green thumb or have quickly killed the hopes and dreams of every houseplant you’ve ever had.
To help you get started, ProFlowers put together a video tutorial on how to make a terrarium. With a complete supply list and five simple steps, you’ll be on your way to creating your own in no time! (They’re also a great gift for an eco-conscious friend!)
You’ll just need a few ingredients: a glass terrarium, of course, along with plants, pebbles, potting soil and activated charcoal. If you want to add any other fun touches (perhaps a hidden gnome or two?), you can do that as well.
Although terrariums are low-maintenance, you will have to give it a little attention with biweekly waterings and bright, indirect sunlight. Watch the video above, check out the step-by-step instructions below, and view the full terrarium tutorial for even more details.
