Author and poet Terry Tempest Williams urged the nation to recognize the value of public lands to our health and spirit. Writing in The New York Times about the missplaced idea of selling off public land suggested by Utah Senator Mike Lee, Williams channeled the bi-partisan response to the idea: “Public lands are our public commons, breathing spaces in a country that is increasingly holding its breath.”
