If you’ve thought about how amazing it would be to power your home with solar power, you’ve probably put at least a little bit of research into what it would take to make it happen. You may have even joined sites like Generaytor that add a social component to solar power research.

If you’ve looked into adding solar power to your home, then you’ve probably discovered there are some trade-offs. To get the highest output with a tracking system for your solar array, you have to shell out some extra dollars you may not have allocated to the project. If your budget doesn’t allow for a tracking system, you may have to settle for a fixed position setup, which will reduce the potential output of your solar power system.

Many people also struggle with where to place their solar panels so they add to the visual ascetic of their home. The traditional location to install your solar panels in the suburbs or urban areas is on your roof. In rural areas where space isn’t an issue, the panels may be installed on the ground.

However, there is a new solar power option that is both incredibly efficient and pleasing to the eye – the Smartflower POP system. This solar power system is totally plug and play, features dual-axis tracking and is said to put out 40% more power than traditional fixed-position arrays. You can even unbolt it and take it with you if you decide to move to a new home.

The Smartflower POP system mimics many wildflowers in its operation. During the day, the panels fold out and soak up the sun’s rays. At night or during high winds, the panels automatically fold up – and the process repeats the following day. You can even choose a color that jibes with the design ascetic of your home.

This 3.2 kW solar array features a dual axis tracking system to ensure the panels are facing the sun in optimal position at all times. This functionality enables it to harness more solar energy each day so you can power your entire home with clean energy. Best of all, it only takes about an hour to install, so you can be up and running with solar power in no time.

While it doesn’t appear the Smartflower POP system is currently available in the US, there are dealers in many other countries.

Could you imagine the Smartflower POP system powering your home?
