PiperWai Natural Deodorant

There are many stereotypes about us Eco-friendly sorts: we shed tears when we see someone litter, we’re pathologically opposed to plastic bags, and perhaps most unflatteringly, our dedication to the environment can sometimes come at the expense of hygiene practices.

Dirty hippies. I’m talking about dirty hippies, okay?

I can see why the stereotype exists — I eschew commercial laundry detergent and make my own toothpaste, and for those with a lifelong loyalty to artificial scents and synthetic chemicals this could be bewildering. How can you possibly be clean if you aren’t buying that cleanliness from a multi-national company?

I must admit that I don’t smell like Spring Breeze or Fresh Laundry, but I definitely don’t smell bad, either and I’d wager that most of my fellow hippies share my enthusiasm for both the environment and cleanliness. They aren’t mutually exclusive! I am a firm believer that you don’t need to coat your body and your home in toxic chemicals in order to be clean or smell good, and PiperWai natural deodorant proves it.

I bet you don’t think much about your deodorant — except when you forget to use it during your morning routine and spend the rest of the day stressing about it — but most conventional stink-busters contain eyebrow-raising ingredients like aluminum (linked to breast cancer), parabens, propylene glycol and triclosan.

PiperWai natural deodorant, however, uses the natural odor-fighting and moisture-absorbing properties of activated charcoal to both neutralize underarm smells and prevent that uncomfortable sweaty feeling.

Joining the activated charcoal is a host of other yummy natural ingredients including:

  • Shea butter
  • Cocoa butter
  • Coconut oil
  • Witch hazel
  • Vitamin E
  • Honeysuckle extract
  • and PiperWai’s own secret mix of 11 essential oils for a gorgeous fresh scent

This natural beauty rubs on clear and soothes underarms (even when freshly shaved). It also comes packaged in a recyclable (or reusable) glass jar — no more roll-ons! Just scoop a small amount and massage into your underarms to smell good, naturally.

I’ll readily cop to weeping over litter and recoiling when offered a plastic bag for my purchase — but being stinky? Uh uh. No. Never. That’s one stereotype I simply won’t accept, and PiperWai is making sure that you don’t have to, either.
