We Earthlings

All of our clothing has an environmental impact and that includes our beloved jeans. On average, it takes 1,800 gallons of water to grow enough cotton to make just one pair of jeans. And jeans have some of the biggest carbon footprints in the fashion industry at 73.6 pounds of CO2 (33.4 kilograms CO2-eq) per pair. Thankfully, denim is generally a durable fabric that ages well. Take good care of those jeans and they’ll last a long time.
