In 2005, Major League Baseball became the first pro sports league to partner with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) on a league-wide greening initiative. Since the launch of the partnership, virtually every MLB team has established environmental initiatives at their ballparks and are now making an effort to track their successes. To mark the start of the 2012 season, Earth911 is giving 10 teams a well-deserved pat on the back for doing their part to protect the planet.
